Spiritual War: Finding Strength in Faith and Joy

A new album that lifts the spirit while inviting reflection and growth.

Greetings Reader

Here’s an update on my Spiritual War project, set for release in the new year. I named the album Spiritual War because it explores the inner fight for faith, direction, and discipline. The songs guide you through spiritual pressure, self-reflection, and the effort needed to stay grounded in truth.

The album carries a serious message, but the rhythms stay joyful. The music lifts your spirit while the words invite reflection, creating a balance that makes the message clear.

It moves through joy, praise, correction, responsibility, and hope. Some songs focus on building good habits, others warn against false ideas and careless choices. The album also points to the strength found in faith, the victory of the resurrection, and the significance of the Cross.

Every track encourages you to stay awake, act with purpose, and face challenges honestly. Spiritual War reminds us that our response to life’s conflicts shapes our path.

I’d love to hear from you. Reply and share one challenge you face and what helps you stay grounded. Your thoughts will guide future songs and posts.

With love,

Don Hartley

Tour update and what’s next! Hey Tribe, I want you to hear this from me first. My autumn/winter tour will now take place in spring to coincide with the release of my debut album, Spiritual War. This timing gives the music room to reach more listeners and build real anticipation for the full album. By bringing the album and live shows together, I can deliver a...

The Struggle My musical journey began in Jamaica, shaped less by internal doubts and more by the weight of financial constraints and the challenge of holding on to creative control. Opportunities were limited, and resources to record and promote music were scarce. From early on I understood that if I wanted to stay true to my mission, I needed to protect my works and my voice from being compromised. That conviction grew even stronger when I moved to England. One of my first steps was to...
